Orpheus and Eurydice
/based on Ovid and Virgil/
An imitation of ancient tragedy. It tells the myth in short. Here the parts of a classical Greek tragedy are shown and described. The narrator helps the audience understand its complexity. Together with the other two actors he impersonates the characters or forms a choir which played an important role in the ancient theatre. The epilog of the show is the following:
“What love has won
Impatience will lose.
Let these words be remembered
By a proverb lover.”
