At the Jagiellonian Court
An adapted tale about the relationship between king Sigismundus Augustus and Barbara Radziwiłł. Only texts in Polish have been used (at that time the main language of the higher classes was Latin). Maciej Zalewski accompanies the actors with music played on old instruments. The production tries to create the ambiance of the Jagiellonian court which can be felt in the works of the classics (Rej, Kochanowski, Biernat from Lublin, Maciej Trzecieski, Malcher Pudłowski) as well as many musicians and anonymous writers.
